Workshop and Technical Study Tour on GHG Emissions from Aviation Activities

Workshop and Technical Study Tour on GHG Emissions from Aviation Activities were held on 24-25 May 2022.

With the publication of the Regulation on the Monitoring of Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Aviation Activities, a “Workshop on Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Aviation Activities” was held by the Directorate of Climate Change in order to introduce the online data management system to airline operators within the scope of the "Capacity Development for the Implementation of a Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) System for Greenhouse Gas Emissions" on 24-25 March 2022 with the participation of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.

The workshop started with the opening speeches of GIZ, Directorate of Climate Change and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation and continued with the speeches of the Turkish Standards Institution and TÜRKAK. In the afternoon session, a detailed presentation of the online data management system was made.

After the workshop, THY's office was visited with all the participants in the workshop on May 25, 2022 and experience was shared on the monitoring, reporting and verification of aviation emissions.
