Sectoral Monitoring, Reporting and Verification Training Seminars Have Been Held

Within the scope of Turkish MRV system, sectoral training seminars on "Monitoring and Reporting Principles, Electricity and Heat Production, Brick and Ceramic Production, Cement Production, Primary Aluminum Production, Iron and Steel Production" were held on 8-9 February 2023 and 26-27-28 April 2023 at Point Hotel Ankara. 

The training started on February 8, 2023 with the opening speeches of Deputy Director of Directorate of Climate Change, Associate Professor Abdulkadir BEKTAŞ and MRV Project Director, Mr. Bülent CİNDİL. The staff of the Directorate of Climate Change, Air Management Department, Laboratory, Measurement and Monitoring Department, Environmental Audit Department, TURKSTAT Environment and Sustainable Development Statistics Department, and the representatives of the GIZ Turkey Office attended the training. 

During the 5-days of training, the principles of monitoring and reporting, electricity and heat production, brick and ceramic production, cement production, primary aluminum production, iron and steel production sectors, sampling-analysis calculations, uncertainty calculations, data flow activities, risk analyzes and calculation of activity data were explained with practical examples and the questions of the participants were answered.
